The original kitchen in the Johns Island home featured builder-grade finishes and an awkward layout. To create an open flow and maximize the use of space, a wall and cased opened were removed, opening the kitchen into the living area. The minimal use of upper cabinets, triple window over the sink and light tile and paint colors help the room feel light and open, making the blue base cabinets and island with quartz countertops the focal point of the room. An adjacent dining area and small bar complete the space.
