The kitchen in this Kiawah Island home was in desperate need of an update. The existing layout and dark wood throughout made the space feel cramped and dated. By removing a knee wall separating the kitchen and dining room we were able to create a seamless flow between the two rooms and give the space a more open feel. We relocated the laundry closet, originally located in the kitchen, to a new enlarged pantry area. New cabinetry from Siteline in a coastal blue-green color, combined with bright white backsplash tile, quartz countertops and a stainless steel appliance package from Thermador, and gold fixtures throughout brighten up and modernize the space while still keeping a coastal vibe.
