The homeowners wanted to update their master bathroom, giving it not only a facelift but also incorporating design elements to allow for aging in place. Aging in place features include the curbless shower with teak bench, grab bars in the shower and toilet area, and a bench seat next to the vanity. Additionally, the space was redesigned so that the layout would allow for the use of a walker if ever necessary. The garden tub was eliminated and the new design features a large walk-in shower. The main bath area has a more masculine feel with the use of bright white tile, gray cabinets and tile, dark gray walls and polished nickel fixtures. A separate dressing vanity was kept more feminine with a lighter gray paint color, cream cabinets and brass fixtures.
