The homeowner wanted to enlarge the existing kitchen and provide a more seamless connection to the dining room in their downtown Charleston home. Interior walls were removed, eliminating an existing den, to create a larger footprint for the kitchen. A new large cased opening now connects the dining room and kitchen. The entire kitchen was redesigned to include a large center island with sink, new cabinetry, tile backsplash, granite countertops and custom-built wet bar with open shelves.
