The kitchen in this Daniel Island home needed a refresh and redesign, thanks mainly to the awkward placement of the appliances in the space. Not only was there an ice machine built-in to the end of the existing island cabinets, there was also a large hood over the center island cooktop that served as an unsightly focal point for the room. We relocated the sink to the island and moved the stovetop to the backwall of the kitchen. The refrigerator and oven were also moved to the back wall to make room for a beautiful new bar with beverage refrigerator and ice machine. The deep blue bar cabinetry with mirrored tile backsplash, matching island, and cobalt blue quartzite, leathered countertops now give the room a beautiful focal area. The white perimeter cabinets, white Caesarstone countertops and mosaic tile backsplash help to tie the whole room together.
