Adding great remodeling ideas to an old home can transform it from dreary and dated to inspiring and enchanting, enhancing our enjoyment in the place we spend the most time. Home renovations often boost functionality, as they update appliances, reconfigure living space, or add square footage.
At Classic Remodeling, clients come to us every day in need of home modifications – from small bathroom or kitchen renovations to complete home makeovers. We execute innovative designs to add beauty and livability to their home spaces.
Our favorite home renovations are those that brought joy to our clients and helped them fall in love with their homes all over again. These four amazing remodels exemplify how a home can be transformed from drab to wow! with some insightful design concepts.
1. The Kitchen Remodel

This Mt. Pleasant family simply wanted a more functional and attractive kitchen, and we accomplished that with a simple reconfiguration. By relocating the refrigerator, which sat alone on a small side wall, we were able to remove the wall and open the space allowing us to install a larger center island with seating. The original wood finished cabinets and dark countertops were removed. The new space features white cabinetry along the perimeter of the room, a white tile backsplash, and white Quartz countertops. The new island, in a natural wood finish, adds warmth to the space.
2. The Bathroom Remodel

The owners of this Kiawah Island home felt their bathroom lacked pizzazz, featuring builder-grade cabinetry and mirrors and a small alcove shower. With the renovation complete, the homeowner can enjoy the tranquility and openness of the space that features modern design touches like jewel-toned cabinetry against a wall of white tile in a wave pattern. The new wet room is tied together by the pebble mosaic floor tile. At one end a beautiful red oak niche rests above the standalone bathtub; at the other end the shower with handheld showerhead and quartz shower bench are encased behind a fixed glass panel. The space is open, inviting, and modern, giving these homeowners the perfect place to relax and unwind.
3. The Exterior Remodel

This house boasted a beautiful backyard with an inground pool that was clearly separated from the indoor space until we designed an addition for the back of the house. By relocating the original galley kitchen, the new space allows for a seamless flow between the main living areas of the house and the outdoor entertaining areas. French doors leading to the backyard and a new screened porch fill the space with natural light. White cabinetry, countertops and tile backsplash give the space a fresh, clean look.
4. The Complete Makeover

Last, we present a complete makeover to an aging Seabrook Island home. In a remarkable transformation, the home was reborn with a stunning front addition that now houses a functional laundry room and pantry along with a welcoming front porch. We outfitted the kitchen with new appliances and cabinetry, while the entire house was revitalized with updated flooring and fresh paint, shifting its style from outdated to modern elegance. Each room now features its own unique ensuite bathroom, while new windows and an updated siding style enhanced the home’s curb appeal, complemented by vibrant landscaping that breathed life into the exterior. As a final touch, charming barn doors were installed in the cozy sitting area under the porch, adding character and a touch of rustic charm to this beautiful abode. The overall impact is a testament to the homeowner’s desire for luxury and individuality.
